A one day course for the Short Range Certificate (SRC) covers all the radio procedures.

  • Pre-course requirement: None
  • Assumed Knowledge: None
  • Course Content: Use of marine radio including GMDSS. Routine, distress and urgency procedures.
  • Ability After Course: Can use a Marine VHF radio.
  • Minimum Duration: 1 day

Radar

An increasingly popular one day course on both sailing and powerboats, this is an invaluable aid for navigation and collision avoidance, but it is only useful in the hands of a knowledgeable operator.
