MMT has developed its ECDIS training programmes having taken into account the results of both IMO and UK MCA research and resolutions into the forms and requirements of training.
In its commitment to delivering approved training, MMT has developed its ECDIS training delivery by complying with the resolutions, while adopting a fully interactive Computer Aided Training format.
ECDIS training is mandated by IMO resolution and STCW 95 for all Masters, Chief Mates and Mates. The complex nature of the technology and the use of vector charts (ENC's) require operators to be thoroughly trained in its use.
All our trainers, as well as being highly experienced mariners, are also fully qualified and experienced instructors with years of experience in delivering practical training across a broad range of subjects.
